PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a ground solidifying material excellent in workability and capable of exhibiting good impregnating property, high solidification strength, etc. by including, as a main material, a secondary silica solution obtained by subjecting water glass to dealkalization treatment to afford stable primary silica solution and then further subjecting the primary silica solution to dealkalization treatment. SOLUTION: This ground solidifying material contains, as a main material, a secondary silica solution obtained by subjecting water glass to dealkalization treatment, preferably by ion exchange method, electrophoresis, etc., and removing a part of alkali in water glass to afford a primary silica solution and further subjecting the primary silica solution to dealkalization treatment. The primary silica solution is stabilized silica solution scarcely causing gelling, produced in production plants and the solution is carried to construction site and subjected to dealkalization treatment again and preferably used as secondary silica solution. The dealkalization treatment of the secondary silica solution is preferably carried out by cation exchange resin, etc. by using onsite facility in construction site. Thereby, workability in the construction site is improved.
