PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus in which a data can be written correctly into a nonvolatile memory storing the aging of the apparatus even at the time of emergency without sacrifice of the convenience of a user even if the data is abnormal in worst case. SOLUTION: When door open is detected at S48 and power supply to the entire apparatus is interrupted at S50, a timing where writing is disabled due to voltage drop is waited before starting writing of a specified volume of data in an EEPROM. When turn off of power switch is detected at S40, a decision is made at S42 whether a data is being written in the EEPROM and if a data is not being written, a specified volume of data in the EEPROM at S44 before interrupting power supply at S46.
