PURPOSE: A method for testing a printer board array of the switching system effectively tests many printer board arrays populated in the switching system. CONSTITUTION: In order to test many low level PBAs by connecting a PC and printer to high level PBA through RS232C communication cable, the method transmits (102) a test command to a specific PBA from the highest level PBA when inputting a specific PBA test request command from the PC. When a test command is performed by the specific PBA, the method performs a self test, and transmits a test result command to the highest level PBA. If the test result command is received in the highest PBA, the test result is outputted to the PC and the printer. Thereby, the user can effectively operate the system through the highest level PBA, and the test time is reduced.
