PURPOSE: A method for reading data of a high time speed optical disk is provided to achieve high speed data reading and recording operations by rapidly scanning a signal recorded in a track of a circular arc type. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps setting a reading time speed on the basis of relative speed according to rotation speeds of a spindle motor and an object lens in insertion of an optical disk, rotating the spindle motor and the object lens with the set reading time speed and detecting a signal from a track formed in the optical disk, and restoring the detected signal to original digital data.
