PURPOSE: A pagephone system is provided to enable an operator to perform status confirmation and control processes about every pagephone equipment by remote control without going a job-site. CONSTITUTION: A pagephone system comprises a plurality of pagephones, a diagnosis type pagephone which is connected in parallel with the pagephones by lines for communicating with the pagephones, and a paging interface equipment which is connected in parallel with the diagnosis type pagephone by lines so as to perform status confirmation and control processes about the diagnosis type pagephone. The diagnosis type pagephone includes a microprocessor(100) having a status confirmation block(110) and a control block(120) therein, a main memory(240), DTMF encoder/decoder(230), and a line selector(190) which transfers the converted signals in the DTMF encoder/decoder to the paging interface equipment. The paging interface equipment includes a display part(360), a key input part(350), a microprocessor(300) which outputs the input status of the key input part to the DTMF encoder/decoder(330) for converting to analogue signals, and a line selector(340) which transfers the analogue signals to the corresponding diagnosis type pagephone equipment. Therefore, the pagephone system can be used compatibly with the diagnosis type pagephone equipment without adding any lines.
