FORWARD INITIAL TRANSMITTING POWER CONTROL DEVICE OF TELECOMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND METHOD THEREFOR

PURPOSE: A forward initial transmitting power control device of telecommunication system and a method therefor are provided to enhance the receipt performance of a mobile station and the power efficiency of a base station by adaptively setting initial power in accordance to its environment and reducing forward interference. CONSTITUTION: The forward initial transmitting power control method of telecommunication system comprises: a step measuring the intensity of prescribed forward channel of a base station by a mobile station to transmit it; and a step controlling the initial transmitting power of other forward channel except said prescribed channel after the base station receives the intensity of said prescribed channel and then decides the initial transmitting power in accordance to the intensity of reference channel of the base station. Said prescribed channel is a pilot channel.
