PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid that an ink ribbon is ended in the midst of printing by performing surely printing of image printing to the terminal end of the printing region. SOLUTION: Length of at least one ink ribbon 17c which has little effect on accuracy of printing is made shorter than those of other ink ribbons 17a and 17b and a terminal end mark 60 is formed on the terminal end part of this short ink ribbon 17c and when the end of the short ribbon is detected in the midst of printing on one printing region, as other ink ribbons 17a and 17b are longer than this ink ribbon 17c, the printing on the printing region is finished and there exists no possibility of generating a joint on printing with the longer ink ribbons 17a and 17b.
