PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer in which the opening/closing cover of the printer body can be secured at a substantially standing position through simple structure by simple operation. SOLUTION: A molded guide rail 11 is provided on the inner side face of an opening/closing cover 6 and first and second regulating parts 12, 13 are formed integrally with the guide rail 11. When the cover 6 is turned toward an open position, a protrusion 9 of a stay 7 sliding along the guide rail 11 rides over the second regulating part 13 while bending the guide rail 11 and enters between the first and second regulating parts 12, 13. When the protrusion 9 abuts against the first regulating parts 12, the cover 6 is regulated not to turn over the position where the cover 6 is standing substantially. When the protrusion 9 abuts against the second regulating part 13 in the way of turning toward a close position, turning of the cover 6 toward the close position is regulated such that the protrusion 9 can ride over the second regulating part 13 only when the cover 6 is applied with a force of specified level or above. |
