SOLUTION: A separator provided with a plurality of lane guides 12 on a supply conveyor 1a for conveying article groups and extending towards the conveying direction in parallel to each other width-wise of the supply conveyor 1a, conveying article 8 groups on the supply conveyor 1a in a specific width narrower than the total width of the lane guide 12 groups, and separating the conveyed article 8 groups by inserting them between the lane guides 12 respectively by a specific number of rows, has the lane guide 12 groups arranged in the relation to have respective upper system ends 12a successively on the lower stream side towards the outside in the width direction and the upper stream end 12a on the utmost upper stream side among the upper stream end 12a groups positioned inside the conveying passage of the article 8 groups, while an article outflow unit B for outflowing articles 8 to the outside is formed near the upper stream end 12a of the lane guide 12 on the utmost outside in the width direction. |
