PURPOSE: A composition for antibacterial unsaturated polyester products comprises an unsaturated polyester resin as a fundamental component and provides the antibacterial function on the surface of plastic bath tub, front tub shielder, closet and washstand. CONSTITUTION: A composition for antibacterial unsaturated polyester products comprises: based on 100 parts by weight of an unsaturated polyester resin, 40 parts by weight of styrene, 1-30 parts by weight of acrylate-based monomer and 0.01-10 parts by weight of metal compound added to a known gel coating composition comprising 0.5-10 parts by weight of a hardener and 0.5-5 parts by weight of an enhancer, the acrylate-based monomer being selected from the group consisting of acrylate, metacrylate, methylmetacrylate, ethylacrylate, n-butylacrylate, 2-ethylhexylacrylate, 2-hydroxyethylacrylate, phenylacrylate, ethyleneglycolmethacrylate and propyleneglycoldimethacrylate. |
