PURPOSE: A method for indicating the acting state of a multi-air conditioner is provided to indicate the acting state of a system in real time through the interactive communication between an outdoor device and a distributor and between indoor devices while operating the system. CONSTITUTION: The method for indicating the acting state of a multi-air conditioner is formed by; a central microcomputer(102) controlling the whole system including a communication circuit(101) installed between an outdoor device and a distributor and between indoor devices; and a display unit(103) indicating the acting state of the system to a left/right 7-segment indicator(103a, 103b) according to the consequences of self examination by the central microcomputer.
