PURPOSE: A microwave oven is provided to sense the heater position and facilitate cooking by giving the heater position information to the user. CONSTITUTION: The microwave oven comprises; a square cavity(22) formed inside to receive food to be cooked; a tray located below the cavity(22), supported by the turntable which is turned round by a motor; a magnetron emitting a microwave for cooking and to irradiate the microwave on the food received in the cavity; a heater(17) located at the top of the cavity rotating between the 1st and 2nd heating point by the manipulation of the rotation part; and a heater location sensing device.
