PURPOSE: A solid fuel useful for heating element is prepared which has a high caloric power and reduces pollution material. CONSTITUTION: The fuel comprises 16- 10 weight % of 40-60 mesh waste plastic, 55- 62 weight % of 80-100 mesh charcoal, 9- 16 weight % of barium nitrate as an ignition agent, 7- 4 weight % of sodium nitrate as a combustion activating agent, 7- 4 weight % of ammonium nitrate as a flame retarder and 6- 4 weight % of calcium carbonate. Thus, 12 weight 5 of 50 mesh waste plastic, 58 weight % of 90 mesh charcoal, 12 weight % of Ba(NO3)2, 6 weight % of NaNO3, 6 weight % of NH4NO3 and 6 weight % of CaCO3 are mixed, followed by addition of 50 weight % of paste. Obtained compound is molded and dried at 80 degree C for 12 hours to give the solid fuel.
