PURPOSE: An oxygen absorbent is provided to save manufacturing cost and to simply convert into a magnetic force reacting typed oxygen absorbent by adding a small amount of water. CONSTITUTION: An oxygen absorbent is manufactured by mixing 0.01 ¯ 50 wt% of inorganic chloride to 100 wt% of an iron content and generating a chemical reaction for combining a chlorine ion in the inorganic chloride on the surface of the iron content. Herein, the iron content is formed by a deoxidized iron content and an electrolytic iron content, and a fine powder of 50 ¯ 40 mesh is used for being easily contacted to the oxygen. And a solid powder, a liquid, and a gas such as an ammonium chloride, a thionyl chloride, phosphorus oxy-chloride, a hydrochloric acid, a hydrochloric gas, and a chlorine gas are used as the inorganic chloride.
