PURPOSE: A rotary scroll backward turn preventing device for a compressor is provided to prevent a noise produced by the check valve movement and to prevent backward rotation of the rotary scroll by the force of pressured coolant backflow into the compressing chamber. CONSTITUTION: The backward turn preventing device which is to prevent a coolant flow loss and a noise produced by the movement of the check valve comprises; a spring(122) placed behind the driving pin and elastically supporting the pin; a pin holder installed in the upper frame to face against the forward rotation of the rotary scroll and protruding by the elastic power of the spring toward the inner space of the upper frame; The pin holder(123) comprises an inserting part formed in the upper frame so that the driving pin may face against the forward rotation of the rotary scroll; a pin stop part to hold the forward move of the driving pin.
