PURPOSE: A biomolecular microchip and a preparation method are provided, for detecting a gene more rapidly, reducing the time required, and being capable of application to broader field. CONSTITUTION: The biomolecular microchip is prepared by preparing a polyacrylamide solution; adding glycidylmethcrylate to the polyacrylamide solution on the solid surface such as a glass to prepare a gel by polymerization reaction; and forming a stable covalent bond by epoxy ring opening reaction of a biomolecule containing the glycidyl group and amine group on the gel or a compound containing amine group. Preferably the polyacrylamide solution contains a mixture of acrylamide and N,N'-methylenebisacrylamide of 90-99.9:0.1-10 (w/w), and a gelling-stimulating agent. The biomolecule is selected from DNA, RNA, a protein or an antibody, and is preferably DNA. A certain biomolecule is detected by the hybrid experiment attaching probes to DNA or RNA of the microchip.
