PURPOSE: A local loop cut alarm device alarms that the local loop connected t the public telephone is cut, and prevents that the public telephone is stolen. CONSTITUTION: A local loop cut alarm device includes a local loop cut detector (10) for detecting a cutting of a local loop by using a power level of a local loop, a controller (12) for controlling alarm output if the local loop cut detector detects that the local loop is cut, and alarm part (14) for storing a predetermined alarm sound, generating the alarm sound, and alarming that the local loop is cut. Thereby, it is prevented that the public telephone is stolen.
