PURPOSE: A free space image device is provided to eliminate inconvenience and danger and display letters and images in a perfect free space utilizing laser with a simple and effective method. CONSTITUTION: The device comprises a laser generator having a laser resonator and a Q-switching device, a reflecting mirror reflecting a laser ray generated from the laser generator to be incident to a light diffuser, a laser diffuser extending a cross-sectional area of the incident laser light, a light collector collecting a diffused laser ray on an area where letters or images is displayed, a laser ray scanner scanning the laser ray to right/left and up/down directions with a high speed to generate space discharge on one plane of a free space, and a controller controlling an image signal and a laser ray scanning.
