PURPOSE: A system and method of passive sound telemetry is provided to look for sound source precisely by treating a distance and an angle between the system and the sound source in high speed to make a toy following a user. CONSTITUTION: The passive sound telemetry system comprises a first to a fourth sound receiver arranged in each edge of a regular square for receiving a first to a fourth sound signal generated from the sound source with arriving time difference, a first to a fourth zero crossing detector for generating a first to a fourth pulse signal by transforming the first to the fourth sound signal to one pulse in every each period signal on a standard of zero potential, a very first receiving signal detector for detecting a pulse signal having the fastest phase, and a time difference calculator for calculating arriving time difference between the pulse signal having the fastest phase and the first to the fourth signal.
