PURPOSE: An actuator locking apparatus of a hard disk driver is provided to improve a servo function of an actuator without increase in the winding number of an actuator coil. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus locks the actuator utilizing a latch magnet fixed to a corner of one side in a base and a magnetic plate fixed to one side end of an arm. The apparatus comprises an unlocker which pushes one flank of the arm to a predetermined portion of the base to be closely adherent to the portion while unlocking the actuator. The unlocker includes a housing, an electrode, an operation member, an elastic member, and a bimetal member.
