METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR OPERATING AGGLOMERATOR

PURPOSE: A method for enhancing efficiency of a coagulation tank in water purification facilities optimally controls the rotational speed based on the temperature of water and the amount of input water in operating the coagulation tank, to form floc optimally and cause effective agglomeration and precipitation. CONSTITUTION: The method for operating a coagulation tank is to optimally control water temperature and inlet flow in operating and thereby cause optimal formation of floc and precipitation and comprises the steps of:measuring water temperature and inlet flow for operating the coagulation tank at a product of speed slope and retaining time; transmitting the water temperature and the inlet flow to a central computer via a converter; calculating the rotational speed or the force of a motor from the previously stored data according to an equation; and transmitting the calculated value to a motor regulator or an inverter via a digital/analog converter to control the motor.
