PURPOSE: An apparatus is to press the sewn portion of leathers and simultaneously apply a piece of tape band over the pressed portion. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus includes a table(1), a DC motor(2) set on it, a press roller(3) mounted on one end of a rotating shaft(4), the other end being engaged with the drive shaft of the motor(2), a control(5) for the motor(2) to determine RPM of the shaft(4) with a switch(6), a follow roller(7) movable to or away from the press roller(3) and mounted on the front end of an inverted L shape support member frame(11) having an upper part in parallel to the table and the lower part bent from the upper part and entering through a hole(8) to pivotingly actuate on a pin(10) held on brackets(9), an actuator-holder(12) for the frame(11), and tape(13) being unrolled from a roll(13a) on a member(14) to be drawn over the roller(3) for taping on the sewn leather.
