PURPOSE: A method for reducing a preference time of a mobile subscriber terminal in frequency hopping/code division multi-access system is provided to provide an improved service for a voice of quality, a call blocking probability, an ability of network call, a call setup and affiliation, a waiting delay time. CONSTITUTION: The method for reducing a preference time of a mobile subscriber terminal in frequency hopping/code division multi-access system includes nine procedures. A first procedure is to periodically collect the overlapped base station information using a designated base station parameter as a variable in a state in which the mobile subscriber terminal is under operation. A second procedure is to store the base information, which is periodically collected, on the last in first out stack of the mobile subscriber terminal. A third procedure is, when power is applied, scan the base station according to the order stored on the last in first stack from the latest base station using the last in first out stack to detect a designated base station. A four procedure is to stop the base station scan and to initially make a synchronization the detected base station when the designated base station is detected. A fifth procedure is to compare and analyze the preference grade of each base station which is detected after the initial synchronization. A sixth procedure is an initial synchronization procedure and is to select the base station of the highest grade among preference grades of each base station according to the result of the comparison/analysis for the base station preference grade and subscribe. A seventh procedure is to search for the base station which is stored on the last in first out stack when the synchronization is failed in a state in which the mobile subscriber terminal is under operation. An eighth procedure is to collect the preference information of the base station after detecting for three base stations among the base stations which are searched. A ninth procedure is re-synchronization procedure and to compare/analyze the collected three base stations preference information, to select the base station of the highest grade among these, and to subscribe. |
