PURPOSE: A servo driving method of a photo disk system is provided to achieve stable and high-speed access to an any position of an optical pickup by continuously pursuing a present position of the optical pickup. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of continuously confirming a present position value of the optical pickup, moving the optical pickup as far as a predetermined distance to an internal or external diameter direction on the basis of the present position value while generating an unstable factor, repeating the moving step on the basis of detection or not of position information from a recording signal on the optical disk at a moved position, and moving the optical pickup to a target track on the basis of the position information while detecting the information.
