PURPOSE: A panel for a cathode ray tube displays a screen to the outside, designs a panel inner curvature with an optimum state, and endures a pressure by atmosphere. CONSTITUTION: In a CRT of which outer curvature Rd of a panel diagonal direction is larger than 30,000mm, a horizontal curvature radius of the inside panel = Rxi, a vertical curvature radius = Ryi, a diagonal curvature radius = Rdi, A curvature of the panel(1) is determined as a condition (Ryi < Rdi < Rxi, 2 x Ryi < Rxi). Thereby, an inner impact characteristic and an explosion characteristic of CRT are ensured, and an image distortion is removed.
