PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a lithium secondary battery having a large capacity, an excellent cycle characteristic and high productivity. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method is used to manufacture a lithium secondary battery which comprises a positive and negative electrodes and an electrolyte layer formed between them, and in which the positive electrode and/or the negative electrode comprise an active material layer capable of storing and releasing lithium ions and an ion migration phase formed in voids of the active material layer, and the ion migration phase is formed of a gel electrolyte, featuring that a gel precursor with viscosity η(cps) at 25 deg.C satisfying an inequality (1), η/60<R4 is impregnated into the active material layer and thereafter gelatinized, where R is the average void diameter (μm) of the active material layer of the positive electrode and/or the negative electrode. |
