<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the dispersibility of a colorant in a toner and to attain good color reproducibility and the stabilization of electrostatic charge by using a bonding resin having a specified acid value and a specified compd. SOLUTION: This yellow toner has yellow toner particles contg. a bonding resin and a yellow colorant. The bonding resin is based on a polyester resin and has 2.0-30.0 mgKOH/g acid value. The yellow colorant has a compd. of the formula, the primary particles of the yellow colorant have a major to minor axis size ratio of <=3 and the number average particle diameter of the yellow colorant present in the yellow toner particles is 0.1-0.5μm. The yellow toner contains the compd. of the formula in 1-15 pts.wt., preferably 2-12 pts.wt., further preferably 3-10 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. bonding resin. The toner preferably contains a metallic compd. of an arom. carboxylic acid deriv.</p> |
