PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable fingerprint collator capable of transmitting the fingerprint-collated result to plural equipments. SOLUTION: This collator is provided with a fingerprint reading sensor 15 and a fingerprint image data processing part 20 for generating fingerprint image data for collation based on an image signal from the fingerprint reading sensor, collating a fingerprint by comparing these data with fingerprint image data for reference registered in a memory 17 in advance, and inputting/ outputting data related to the collation of the fingerprint to the equipment to utilize the fingerprint-collated result. The data related to the collation of the fingerprint are inputted/outputted by a non-contact transmission-reception part 21 in the state of enciphering the data.
