PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily click the pointer of a pointing device on a specified area on a display screen and to narrow an area for providing the specified area on the display screen by the same number of information processing functions or to double the number of the information processing functions by the same area as the area for providing the specified area on the display screen. SOLUTION: The pointer of the pointing device is dragged from an optional first point (start point) P1 on the specified area on the display screen in a desired direction to a second point (end point) P2 and drag information is obtained. Then, from the drag information, drag area display information for indicating on which area on coordinates for sectioning the plural areas whose origin is the start point P1 of drag the end point P2 of the drag is present is generated. By using the drag area display information, when it indicates that the end point P2 of the drag is present on one of the plural areas on the coordinates, an information processing is executed by the information processing function in the plural information processing functions corresponding to the one area.
