摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a human body position detecting apparatus capable of accurate position detection of a human body irrespective of a distance between a projecting means and the human body. SOLUTION: In this human body position detecting apparatus 1, lights are projected from two projectors 31, 32, reflected lights from irradiated regions 41, 42 on a face part 4a of a human body 4 are received with a light receiving body 50 having two light receiving regions, and the position of the human body is detected by using sum and difference of the quantities of received lights. In this case, on the basis of sum of the quantities of received lights corresponding to distances between the projectors 31, 32 and the human body 4, the quantity of projection lights are switched. Thereby accurate position detection of the human body is enabled irrespective of the distance between the apparatus and the human body. Balance adjustment at the time of switching of the quantity of projection light is performed about the quantity of projection light or the quantity of received light. Thereby decrease of precision of position detection can be prevented.
