PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize damages induced in an organic luminescent structure at high energy accumulation of a cathode by including the cathode comprising an electron injection dopant for diffusing a buffer layer to form an electric field electron injection layer, in an interface between the organic luminescent structure and the cathode buffer layer. SOLUTION: An organic luminescent structure 320 is formed between a light transmitting anode 304 and an opaque cathode 310. The organic luminescent structure 320 comprises a hole transport layer 322, a luminescent layer 324 and an electron transport layer 326, successively laminated in this order. Injected holes (positively changed carrier) and electrons move towards the electrodes which are mutually oppositely charged, and the recombination and the hole- electron recombination are generated in a junction part 323. The light is emitted as a light 380 which passes through the light transmitting anode 304 and the light transmitting base 302. An organic cathode buffer layer 330 formed on the electron transport layer 326 makes available the high energy accumulation of the opaque cathode 310 on the organic luminescent element 300 by the sputtering deposition or electronic beam deposition. |
