<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste gas duct of an ash melting apparatus wherein the duct is prevented from being closed only with blowing of cooling air, and the cost of waste gas processing equipment and the cost of operation maintenance are low. SOLUTION: There is provided a cooling air blowing air blowoff port (small hole) in a pipe wall of a duct body 16 connected with a waste gas port 9 of an ash melting apparatus. The air blowoff port is connected with a cooling air supply source 24 through flow rate adjusting valves 23a to 23c. There are further provided temperature detectors 26a to 26c disposed more downstream from the air blowoff port for the waste gas for detecting temperature of the pipe wall, and an air flow rate controller 31 for generating a rapid increase signal of rapidly increasing an air flow rate through a flow rate adjusting valve from a predetermined set flow rate in a short time when detection temperature of the temperature detector is lower than set temperature.</p> |
