PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an iodine laser device which has a high output and a small size and can be operated inexpensively. SOLUTION: An iodine laser device has a reactive gas duct 12 which can roughly fix the pressure of a reactive gas before and after a laser resonator 10 and is constituted to utilize a small-sized light-weight turboblower device 20 by exhausting the reactive gas contributed to the output of laser light at a high pressure by adjusting the flow velocity of the reactive gas to a maximum of about 1/2 of the sound velocity by maintaining the pressure of stimulated oxygen outputted from an stimulation oxygen generator at >=10 Torr. Therefore, the size of the laser device can be reduced as a whole. In addition, the running cost of the laser device can also be suppressed, because the amounts of a buffer gas and an iodine gas utilized for the reactive gas can be reduced. |
