PREDICTION OF CHEMICAL AGENT TREATMENT EFFECT ON FLY ASH

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly and properly determine chemical treatment effect by means of a simple measurement method by mixing fly ash treated with a chemical agent with water under a heating condition and measuring pH of the obtained solution. SOLUTION: Treated ash provided by mixing a heavy metal immobilizing chemical with fly ash is mixed with water under a heating condition, and pH of this obtained solution is measured. A mixing ratio between water and the treated ash is 5-500 approximately, and a desirable mixing ratio is about 10. A solution temperature in mixing is about 60-100 deg.C, and a temperature of 80 deg.C is preferable especially. Usually, pH of the solution prepared in this way by mixing water and the treated ash under a heating condition is measured on a decanted liquid according to JIS K0101 after the solution is cooled to approximately 20-40 deg.C by running water or the like if necessary.
