PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a managing method for drawing file with which the history of a lot of related drawings can be easily managed or the contents of editing can be easily grasped. SOLUTION: Concerning this managing method, a history file having history information by drawing files is prepared, the history file preserves a file name, the file name of the former drawing to be the source of preparing the drawing and attribute having a key or the like relating the drawing and former file, the relevant history information is displayed out of the history file by extracting the drawing file (S11 and S12), the history information to be displayed is corrected in the case of editing the history information of the drawing file (S13, S18 and S19), the history file is generated or abandoned corresponding to whether or not that information is to be preserved (S22-S24), plotting is performed while being changed into file name not overlapped with the former file in the case of not editing the history information (S20 and S21) and the history file is generated or abandoned corresponding to whether or not that information is to be preserved.
