PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a distortion correcting circuit which can perform accurate distortion correction even when a device to be corrected itself changes or the characteristics of the device change by using the distortion generated by the device itself. SOLUTION: A multiplexer 15 multiplexes a monitor output from the PD 16 of an LD 12 with an input signal. When the input signal is adjusted by means of a level adjusting circuit 13 and a phase adjusting circuit 14 so that the signal may become the opposite phase of the monitor output at the same level, only the distortion component of the LD 12 is extracted from the multiplexer 15. When another multiplexer multiplexes the distortion component so that the component may become the opposite phase of the distortion component of the LD 12 at the same level, the distortion component of the LD 12 is reduced. |
