PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent resin coated paper type supporting body for an image material which uses paper as a base material capable of obtaining the quality excellent in a glossy feeling in the appearance of a print, adhesion, film adhesion, surface smoothness and image sharpness which are important characteristics as the supporting body for the image materials, moreover, much lower in oxygen permeability and further, without problems in the operation. SOLUTION: This supporting body for an image material uses paper mainly composed of natural-pulp as a base material and at least one surface of the base material is coated with a resin layer consisting of at least two layers. A white polyester resin layer is arranged on the side where an image forming layer is formed. The supporting body for the image material is laminated by the polyester resin layer substantially free from pores, arranged on the side of the base material and consisting of two layers and the base material. |
