SOLUTION: The image communication device converts image information and audio information from the video telephone terminal 10 into an image code and an audio code decodable by a personal computer and also converts the codes into data added to an electronic mail and transmits the electronic mail to a prescribed communication opposite party 31. The image information and the audio information, transmitted from the personal computer, as data added to the electronic mail are converted into image and audio codes decodable by the video telephone terminal and then converted into a communication protocol that is used by the video telephone terminal for communication.
