PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attach a bus converter of the same configuration to a vehicle regardless of an on-vehicle bus by allowing the bus converter to be provided with a converting means which converts a data frame corresponding to respective on-vehicle buses and a means which selects a converting means corresponding to an actual on-vehicle bus. SOLUTION: A 1st bus converter 30a1 to the n-th bus converter 30an respectively perform conversion between data frames for the 1st to the n-th on-vehicle buses and data frames for personal computer communication. An on-vehicle bus identifying part 30b identifies the class of an actual on-vehicle bus and notifies it to a selector 30c. An identifying method of the on-vehicle bus is performed, for instance, by comparing a data frame format with a known data frame format. The selector 30c connects the bus converters 30a1 to 30an corresponding to the actual on-vehicle bus notified from the part 30b and an on- vehicle AV NAVI system (on-vehicle navigation system) 20.
