PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the LC(leakage current) characteristic of a capacitor, by employing a niobium metal as its one electrode and a tantalum metal as its drawn-out lead to the external. SOLUTION: The shape of a niobium metal used as one electrode 1 of a capacitor is employed from among a plate, foil, rod, sintered body, and the like. Its size is determined arbitrarily, considering the capacity of the created capacitor. Also, the shape of the tantalum metal used as a drawn-out lead 2 is selected as one of a plate, foil, and rod to employ its smaller size than the electrode 1 of the niobium metal. The lead 2 is connected electrically with the electrode 1, using a weld or conductive paste. Also, making the niobium metal sued as the one electrode 1 of the capacitor a niobium nitride nitrized partially, the LC(leakage current) characteristic of the capacitor is further improved. The niobium nitride is obtained to nitrize a portion of the niobium metal in a nitrogen atmosphere. Also, a niobium oxide is used as the dielectric of the capacitor.
