PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the structure of a key switch usable for thinning an information processor and suitable for constituting the structure of a thin type keyboard and the thin type keyboard. SOLUTION: This key switch is provided with a housing part 4 provided at a main body part 9 and a key top part 1 fixed at one terminal part 15 of a stem part 2 fitted to the relevant housing part 4 so as to freely slide so that a switch part 10 provided at the main body part 9 while facing another terminal part 16 of the stem part 2 is controlled by abutting and separating the other terminal part 16 of the relevant stem part 2 on and from the relevant switch part 10. Concerning such key switch 20, the key top part 1 of the key switch 20 is constituted so as to be displaced to a second position 12 different from a first position 11 to stop the key top part 1 in response to the input of a prescribed control signal when the relevant control signal is not inputted.
