PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate mounting work on a substrate by reducing the number of parts, and to reduce a cost, and also to miniaturize an optical connector. SOLUTION: A substrate mount type optical connector is provided with a pair of plugs part 10 to be fitted to each end part of a pair of optical fibers 11, a lining sleeve 20 for making the centers of the pair of mutually abutted plugs part 10 coincide with each other, and a clipping part 30 for holding the pair of plugs part 10 mounted in the lining sleeve 20. This clipping part 30 has a flat plate shaped coupling part 31 and a spring part 32 which is formed at both end parts of the coupling part 31 and energizes the pair of plugs part 10 in the mutually pushing direction, and the spring part 32 is composed of a pair of pressure pieces 35. In this case, each pressure piece 35 forms an inclination part 35a extending from both ends of the coupling part 31 diagonally upward to the upper face 31a of the coupling part 31.
