PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain size and cost reduction in a coil by reducing the number of parts of a circuit and to prevent generation of loss in a power supply circuit. SOLUTION: For 200 V power supply, a full wave rectifier circuit of choke input type including a diode bridge circuit 2, two smoothing capacitors 3, 4, and a harmonic distortion suppressing coil 5 operates. For 100 V power supply, a half wave rectifier circuit including the diode 6 of the diode bridge circuit 2, the smoothing capacitor 3, and a switch 10 operates in a positive half cycle, and a half wave rectifying circuit including the switch 10, the smoothing capacitor 4, and the diode 9 of the diode bridge circuit 2 operates in a negative half cycle. Throughout the whole cycle, they operate as a voltage doubler circuit totaling the outputs for respective half cycles. By inserting the harmonic distortion suppressing coil in series with the switch 10, it is possible to suppress the harmonic distortion of the 100 V power supply.
