PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent shock on a photoreceptor and a transfer drum caused by the switching of developing units between each other and to obtain a beautiful image free of jitter with respect to a color electrophotographic device for color image formation. SOLUTION: The color electrophotographic device is equipped with a rotatively movable developing-unit-group 4 in which four color-developing units are arranged in a circle, the photoreceptor 6, an electrifier 7, the intermediate transfer drum 1 which receives in a single transfer position a toner image formed on the photoreceptor and forms a color image, and a laser exposure device. Relating to the device, the photoreceptor 6 and intermediate transfer drum 1 both stop their rotation at the time of the rotative movement of the developing-unit-group 4. The speed is accelerated by altering the order of color superimposition from a second sheet and reducing the number of times that the developing units are switched between each other. |
