PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display correct time necessary for forming image even when documents having mutually different sizes coexist by detecting the number of the documents for every size while feeding/carrying the documents having different sizes and calculating total image forming necessary time based on the image forming time per document for every size. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a means for detecting the number of the documents for every size while feeding/carrying plural documents having different sizes, and a means for calculating the total image forming necessary time based on the detected number of documents for every size and the image forming time per document fixed for every size, so that the calculated total image forming necessary time is displayed. In this device, by feeding/ejecting the documents on the document tray 9 of an automatic document feeder 3 one by one before performing image forming operation, the size of the document by one and the number of the documents of every size are detected. After such document counting operation, image forming is started. The calculation of the necessary time is performed concurrently with the image forming and further specified correction computation is performed. |
