PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image forming device constituted to prevent the toner amount from being increased and the image quality from being deteriorated by selecting one of a main mode, a sub mode and a non-control mode in accordance with a use condition and performing a density control according to the selected condition. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with the main mode, in which measurement is started from previously set revolving speed, the sub mode, in which the measurement is started from the revolving speed a little lower than the stored revolving speed, and a selection means for selecting one of the main mode, the sub mode and the non-control mode in accordance with the use condition. The density control is performed according to the selected condition. In this device, a patch density detector 9 detects the density of a patch at the time of adjusting image density. Output from a temperature and humidity detector 10 and the detector 9 is given to a process control part 30 controlling the entire device. A developing sleeve driving part 7 receives output from the control part 30 and controls the revolving speed of a developing sleeve 6a. |
