CONTROLLING METHOD FOR ELECTRIC PROPULSION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a control method for an electric propulsion device for ships wherein fluctuation in the speed of a motor can be suppressed against fluctuation in load torque. SOLUTION: A specified auxiliary set value is added to a speed command value of a speed commanding device 11 at an adder 21. The value obtained by this addition is used as a speed set value and an adjusted value is calculated at a speed adjuster 24. The calculated adjusted value is limited to a value equal to or lower than a torque limit value obtained through a power calculator 22 and a divider 23, and the limited value is inputted as a torque set value for a motor 3 to a power converter control circuit 13.
