PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impart an amusement or fun in carrying out a bicycle exercise to people. SOLUTION: This controller detects the ruggedness of the teeth of a gear 1 with sensors 4a, 4b, subjects output signals thereof to waveform shaping in a waveform shaping circuit 5 and discriminates whether the gear 1 rotates forward or not by a forward/backward discrimination circuit 7 in accordance with these output signals. The one output signal after the waveform shaping is subjected to frequency dividing by a frequency division circuit 6 and the number of pulses of the frequency division signals when the forward rotation is judged by the forward/backward discrimination circuit 7 is integrated. The controller calculates various kinds of exercise details, such as mileage and running speed, in accordance with the integrated value of the number of pulses of the frequency division signals when the bicycle stops. The controller evaluates the momentum in accordance with the inputted physical conditions, exercise conditions, etc., of the person carrying out the bicycle exercise, selects the image information meeting the physical shape of a virtual life body corresponding to the results of the evaluation from the memory section 10b and displays the same on a display section 10a. The person is able to feel the amusement or fun in the change of the physical shape of the virtual life body and to evaluate his or her own momentum. |
