PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely check the on-screen information of a projector by an external monitor by providing a terminal for outputting an on-screen video signal and controlling the projection of an image, based on the on-screen video signal to a screen. SOLUTION: A video signal 5 is processed by a video signal processing part 7, an on-screen signal, the video signal are mutually superposed in a projection processing part 9, and lastly the superposed signal is projected on a screen. The on-screen signal processed by an on-screen signal processing part 8 is converted into an analog signal by an analog conversion part 10 and outputted to an on-screen external terminal 11 formed in a projector video device 1. Thus the on-screen information of the device 1, which is generated by an on-screen signal preparation part 6, can be checked on the screen of an external monitor 2 any time by connecting the terminal 11 to the monitor 2.
