PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color television camera device selecting a necessary video part where the signal level of a video in an image pickup screen is to be stabilized and a necessary area formed of the position and the area, which are previously set, of the image pickup video and carrying out automatic iris. SOLUTION: This device is provided with an iris driving signal generation part 29 having a non-additive mixing circuit 1 outputting the peak signals of respective video signals, a gate circuit 2 outputting the video signal of the necessary peak signal by an iris gate signal, an iris gate signal generator 6 outputting the iris gate signal formed of a position and an area, a digital signal processing circuit 9 outputting the iris gate signal which is formed of a specified chrominance signal and which is arbitrarily set, and an iris gate signal switch circuit 12 for switching the inputted iris gate signal and outputting it to the gate circuit. The iris is driven by an iris driving signal and the light quantity of the optical image as a prescribed part in an object is adjusted.
